It has been awhile since I have blogged but life happens.
Our Easter Sunday was a quiet one. I baked a marinated pork loin, mashed potatoes and steamed corn. This was the first time my husband and I experienced Chipotle. Chipolte isn’t terrible but it isn’t our thing. I won’t buy another one of those. Above you can see Skully and Mrs. Skully's Granddaughter finding an Easter egg!
Presently we are getting a lot of snow! A little unusual for southwestern Washington this time of year. (Thank you Walt. hee-hee!) It’s pretty though and makes the fragrance of my baking turkey kind of holiday-ish. I wonder if we have any gelled cranberries??
Directv just went out so now you know how hard it is snowing here...

BTW, Oscar is still goin' bonkers, although not as bonkery as he was.

Anyways, Oscar's been howlin' and carryin' on 'cause I've been keepin' those two from "ridin' dirty," as Obama's spiritual advisor would say (and he oughta know, bein' an expert in dirty stuff and all).
The result of all this is that Skully ain't gettin' his beauty sleep. Not 'til the heatin' stops which, according to the innernet, is 5-14 days.
5 to 14 days...WTH? We can send a man to the moon but we don't know exactly how long the neighbor's dog is gonna be in heat?

And no, Wench, we ain't got no cranberry jelly. I checked.

Snow - something I can certainly relate to! I have heard rumors, albeit unsubstantiated, that the real Spring is coming along sooner or later. Not this fake one that we have right now.
Good reason to stay inside and cook though. And to feed Skully more grog!
